What is LPS Picnic in the Park?
LPS Picnic in the Park is a nostalgic community event dedicated to Littlest Pet Shop collectors. It's a playful space created for swapping pets, sharing tips, and enjoying a relaxing day outdoors with fellow enthusiasts.
Who is allowed to attend?
The event is open to everyone! We are a neurodivergent-friendly community and welcome collectors of all ages, from long-time fans of the original pets to new collectors just starting their journey. All under 16's must be accompanied by an 18+ adult.
Is there an entry fee for the picnic?
Attendance is free, although we do ask that you get a free ticket so we can plan for the number of attendees. If you are interested in setting up a dedicated vendor table for a large collection, please check our Booking section for stall reservation details.
Event Details FAQ
Where exactly in the park is the picnic?
We will be setting up camp at The Dingle within The Quarry. Look for the colorful LPS Party in the Park banners and plenty of picnic blankets near the central flower displays!
Is there a specific schedule of events?
The fun starts at 11:00 AM and ends at 4:00PM. As well as trading and stores, we may have some fun activities up our sleeve like competitions and games, keep your eyes peeled on our Instagram.
What happens in case of bad weather?
Sunshine is preferred, but we have umbrellas for light showers. If the weather is significantly poor, we will have to postpone the event. Stay tuned to our Instagram for day-of updates!
Preparation & Rules
What should I bring to the picnic?
Pack a picnic blanket, your favourite LPS pets for trading, and some snacks! We recommend bringing a portable charger and a small container or display case for your pets to keep them safe and organized during the event. We also recommend bringing an umbrella because British weather is tempremental, and some cash for the stores.
Are there any specific rules for trading?
We advocate for fair trading and community kindness. Always ask permission before touching someone else's collection. If you're unsure about a trade's value, check our Fair Trade Guide or ask one of our friendly organizers for help.
Is the event neurodivergent friendly?
Absolutely! We keep the atmosphere low-key and friendly. There are quiet zones available in The Quarry if you need a break from the main trading areas. We prioritize being an inclusive, safe space for all enthusiasts.
What happens if it rains?
Shrewsbury has several sheltered spots, but we'll post live updates on our Instagram @lpspartyinthepark if weather conditions require us to move to a nearby indoor community space. Safety first for our pets and picnic-goers!
